Brief History of the PIRATES The Northern Districts PIRATES were formed in 1997 in South Australia on the basis that we give any person regardless of age,race,size or ability the opportunity to play football. The are currently 7 teams in S.A with the PIRATES being the youngest team.Our first season we were recongized as a very fair and tough team with our players getting 3 of the top 5 Awards,Rookie of the year, Defensive player of the year and All star coach. So as you can see,in such a short period the PIRATES have made an impact.  | ||||||||||||||||
